Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.
Latin is so funny. How DO you pronounce that one without sounding silly or ridiculous? Did they even HAVE catapults during Roman times? Wait, they did. Otherwise, why would they have a WORD for it?
Cave quid dicis, quando, et cui.
That one is a far better one to live by these days.
Or maybe just: non quicquam sanctumst?
Warded Private:
It's Monday, and I think I may have underestimated this Ogden's Whiskey. Least I can still write properly. I think. Am I? Talking to myself. If Guy were here, HE'D talk to me, and probably be really ANGRY that I drank so much of it in such a short time.
TOO BAD, GUY. YOU'RE DEAD, AND YOU HAVE NO SAY ANYMORE.

Warded Private:I think I am getting paranoid. It's just... I talk about violin. A lot. And I know that I have SECRETS in my head that people want, and with HER PARENTS being what they turned out to be... I cannot afford to take any chances, not with what I know and WHO I know.

You honestly need 6 fingers to play Schoenberg's. I swear it really is unplayable. It's like he stuck his TONGUE out at everyone when he wrote it, and said, "JUST TRY TO PLAY THIS." Only in an Austrian accent. And then people DID. They tried to teach this at the RA, and no one could get it. NO ONE. Why BOTHER trying to teach anyone this when they know it's just impossible?
I'll stick with my Mozart fourth, thanks. It's MORE my style of piece anyway. It's been a really AWFUL two months, but at least I can pretend for a little while.

I should stop at a Tescos and pick up coffee and do-nuts. The Aurors are going to need it. Maybe I'll pick up sandwiches too.

Warded Private:
He's been gone a month. My brother's been gone for only a month. Does it get any EASIER at all? I don't want anymore LIES. I just want to know the truth. Will IT? HOW LONG does it take because I don't know how much more of this I can take.
Not with EVERYONE ELSE losing people too, and it just seems like it's escalating. Every day, it seems, there's a new report on my BLOODY desk. SO-N-SO; deceased in werewolf attack; culprit unknown. So-n-so; deceased in THE MOST GROTESQUE WAY EVER; BODY PLACED HIGH on the DAILY PROPHET BUILDING. I know how he died. How could I not? I hear it in the break room, at the water cooler, even when I'm signing out for the day.
"Poor girl. Did you hear how her brother was killed?"
NO, please. GO AHEAD and tell the story AGAIN. I'm sure SOMEONE hasn't heard the story.
I want my brother.

"No greater grief than to remember days of gladness when sorrow is at hand." -Friedrich von Schiller
I found von Schiller through my love of Beethoven. Anyone who's ever heard the final movement of Beethoven's Ninth has heard von Schiller's words even if you didn't know it. In fact, the name Ode to Joy comes from the first line of the poem which he set to music. The last time I played any part of it was years ago, though, when I was at the Royal Academy. It doesn't sound quite the same without the rest of the orchestra, though, even though I tried pieces of it tonight. I've been playing Sibelius's Violin Concerto in D Minor whenever Bertha's not at home over and over, trying to get it right but my fingers aren't taking to it as well as they should be. Probably because I lost my
I came home today to find out that one of my fish died. Bernard, a zebra fish. Will be going to the Magical Menagerie to get another tomorrow.
Warded Private:
I don't know what else to say, really. My heart goes out to you all who have lost loved ones? It would if I thought I had one after Guy's death. I don't wish this feeling on anyone, except the butchers who did this to my brother. I hope they rot in the lowest pit of hell for what they've done to my mother and I and so many other people.
They will get what's coming to them.
I wish none of you knew what it feels like to have someone ripped from your life so suddenly and brutally. You're not alone.
